Harvest Strategy Group Shares 2021 Community Outreach

January 2022 – DENVER, Colo. – Harvest Strategy Group values opportunities for charitable involvement and giving back to the community. While the pandemic has limited some in-person volunteer opportunities, Harvest Strategy Group has been able to make monetary gifts and contributions of time. Focused particularly on nonprofits local to and close to the hearts of employees, the team wrapped up their 2021 giving with several areas of outreach, five of which are spotlighted below.

We realize we’re fortunate to be a relatively tight-knit group of individuals and to love what we do. We’re grateful for those privileges and we share a common desire to ‘pay it forward’ outside the walls of the business. Prioritizing giving is an important part of who we are and how we express our values.” said David Ravin, Executive Vice President at Harvest Strategy Group.

The Ally Challenge

Harvest contributed to The Ally Challenge Presented by McLaren, a charitable golf tournament and an official event of the PGA Tour. The 54-hold stroke play tournament features 78 PGA Tour Champions professionals, and the funds raised by the event benefit local charities in the greater Flint, Michigan area. The primary charity partner of the event is the United Way of Genesee County, which works to remove barriers to employment, increase the financial health of residents, and provide families with quality stable housing. UWGC has more than nine agencies throughout the Genesee and Shiawassee Counties.

Boca Jewish Center

The Boca Jewish Center, located in Boca Raton, FL, is a vibrant and active faith-based organization that provides community and educational opportunities for children and adults of the area. During recent times, communities of faith have become even more vital support for the social/emotional health of individuals and families— helping to reduce social isolation, keep members involved with the needs of the community, and maintain important social ties with one another. We were glad to support an organization that supports these needs in a personal way for a part of our professional community.

Mayor Michael B. Hancock’s Virtual Giving Tree

Harvest Strategy Group has its home base in Denver, Colorado. Mayor Hancock hosts a Virtual Giving Tree to support Denver families in need with warming and hygiene items provided through the Denver Human Services GIVE Center. The center provides free, essential services and items to Denver families, foster youth, and people experiencing homelessness throughout the year. In a region with cold winter climates, Harvest supported the Giving Tree to help the organization equip those in need with essentials.

Movement 5280

Another Denver-based organization, Movement 5280 is a nonprofit dedicated to walking through life with at-risk and homeless youth of the city. Starting in 2010 with support from Denver First Church, the organization has grown to include a shelter and treatment center. The organization provides hot meals, clothing, classes, employment assistance, and other resources for physical and spiritual care and nourishment. Movement 5280 is meant to be a place of hope, rest, and encouragement for an often overlooked and underserved population of youth in need. The Harvest team donated funds to Movement 5280 as a way to support the most vulnerable and at-risk youth in our local Denver community.

Western Kentucky Tornado Relief Fund

In December 2021, Western Kentucky experienced a series of deadly and highly destructive tornadoes. The state’s Chamber of Commerce quickly organized a centralized effort for collecting donations to assist those affected and distribute important resources to suffering citizens. Colorado residents have had their share of natural disasters and know well the devastating loss, damage to lives and property, and emotional trauma that can occur as a result. The team at Harvest was moved to reach out and help where they could by donating to this relief fund.

Harvest Strategy Group is committed to continuing its support of its local community and those in need around our country. To learn more about the company, its values, and its charitable efforts, please visit harveststrategygroup.com and follow Harvest Strategy Group on LinkedIn.
